Welcome! I’m Karen Rose Smith.
I write romance, mystery, and women’s fiction. My 112th novel (that’s right, 112), IF BOOKS COULD KILL, is available now.
Besides writing, my passion is caring for my five rescued cats– Zoie Joy, Miss Paddington, siblings Freya, and Zander…as well as Bonnie, who for now, has an apartment in our basement. She lost her brother Clyde last summer, and we hope to integrate her with our other cats this year.
My hobbies still are gardening in the summer and cooking in the winter.
An only child, I’ve always delved into books as an escape. But as part of a large Italian family, I had cousins and relatives around me often. Families are a strong theme in my novels, both mysteries and romances.
